My dog chews through cheap leashes and this one he can't chew through. Works well.After my newly rescued "boofhead" nipped through 4 leashes in 2 days i knew I had to take quick action or lose my pup. This leash did the job. The handle is not real comfortable (and as to be expected, she chewed off the cushion part at first opportunity) but safety trumps comfort hands down. And after all, that is what this leash is meant for!Is extremely sturdy and high qualityWorks well for me, but spouse prefers a 6 foot over 5 foot. We like that it is hard for her to keep a grip on it when biting it. We are a little worried that it will hurt our hands once the padding comes off. Looking at others that have a hard plastic handle, or something else to cushion it. Works well for the price, just have to keep handle away from the dog to keep that cushion in tact as long as possible.A perfect leash for a teething puppy! The foam handle didn't hold up to my puppy's mischief. The hardy leash held up to early leash training. A little duct tape over the nibbled foam handle did the trick of securing the handle.I bought this leash because by 80lb puppy has chewed through her and my other dog's leashes. She won't be able to chew through this. I also like the rigidity of the leash. It doesn't sag as much as nylon leash and I don't have to constantly pull it from between her legs.There are two negatives to this leash that I am willing to live with. 1) Because it is a thin cable, it isn't comfortable to choke up on the leash if I need to get a closer grip. 2) The foam coating on the handle isn't as comfortable as a nylon loop.Other than those two issues, it is near perfect.So far good, however handle is poor design, these foam coverings are just an attraction for my chewer!I keep this in my back pack in case I want to stop and rest a bit and I need my dog under control and next to me. This is well made and fit for purpose and easy to pack in case it’s needed. I recommend it.
